On Leaving and Returning
4/9/12 by Limited
A lot has changed since I was last a regular here on Newgrounds.
I'm now an aspiring author, working on my first novel and a freelance writer. Heading towards my third year of university and my first year living with my beautiful fianceé. I left Newgrounds because I felt I didn't have enough time to commit to the community, to posting every day and helping out with the Sig Makers.
I've grown a lot in the last couple of years and it'll be great to come back and chat with people. If you happen to read this then look out for me in the forums, Daddy's home.
MyInsideGamer Has A Forum
1/23/11 by Limited
I write for MyInsideGamer, as some of you know, and we've just opened a forum.
I've been waiting for this for a while and hopefully we'll build a little community. It'll be interesting to be involved in forum from its beginning, be a moderator perhaps and see where it goes.
I know a lot of you desire to be key figures in a forum, particularly this one but I suspect any forum will do. Come along and chat for that reason or because you want to talk about games. Would be great to have some people who are active on forums to help build the community.
Here's the link: MyInsideGamer Forum
I probably haven't, I'm soon going to be too busy and may not have internet so I've pre-emptively handed over the Sig of the Week competition to Donut and realised that I won't be on Newgrounds that much. I'll try to deposit but won't be able to do much at all.
I'll probably be on quite a lot for the next month but after that not so much. I may come back in a couple of months and resume a moderate level of activity on the BBS but we'll see, I may never log back on.
Bye-bye for now, mostly, here's what could be your final kitten.
: Gasp

Heading down to Cornwall today to try and find somewhere to live for university. I sure do hope I'm successful, I don't fancy sleeping on a park bench.
I'll be back on Sunday, won't be on Newgrounds until then. Sig of the Week will go to voting on Monday.
Little update done, here's a cat.

Got my E-Cigarette.
8/25/10 by Limited
So I received my electronic cigarette through the post recently and I have to say I'm quite impressed.
Here's what was included:
- Battery (That's the main white bit with the led on the end)
- Vaporiser, which fits into the cartridges and then screws into the battery. The cartridges look like cigarette butts and hold liquid nicotine of varying strengths and flavours.
- Multiple cartridges: 5 High Nicotine; 5 Medium Nicotine; and then 1 No, 1 Low, 1 Medium and 1 High Nicotine cartridges inside the case.
- Black aluminium case which holds several cigarettes, space for a spare battery or two and the fully assembled cigarette. It has a spring loaded cover that pops open with a press of a button.
- USB charger which the battery screws into.
It came inside a lovely little white cardboard display box and with all the needed information. The actual cigarette worked immediately and works well.
The red LED on the end glows to show the vaporiser is working and you get a visible white cloud of smoke, a decent throat hit but no significant heat or choking feeling and no coughing - which is good, because I haven't smoked in a long time, and with a normal cigarette I would choke on the first one.
The cartridges last for 100-150 puffs and the whole thing feels very realistic. I'm really satisfied and will definitely use this in the future. It's such a great alternative to starting smoking properly and you get the lovely stress relief and cool feeling. Not to mention that I'm obsessed with new tech and I feel all modern and stuff.
If you smoke or want to smoke, get one of these instead. The cancer risk is about the same as eating a hot dog or shaking hands with a black person and you get none of the yellow fingers, teeth or bad breath associated with smoking. You can get tobacco flavoured cartridges but the taste will disappear after a drink of water or something, for both you and if you're kissing someone - I tested this with my girlfriend.
These are great inventions, and if they're brought in properly and managed then they should provide an amazing alternative to quitting smoking or a brilliant aid for quitting. You don't need to expose yourself to cancer and the other risks of tobacco smoking, just get an electronic cigarette.
If you want, I'll take some pictures and update this post with them but for now I can't be bothered, so here's a kitteh.
: Christ, I just read that again and it looks like an advert for the damn thing.

Electronic Cigarette
8/20/10 by Limited
Following a thread I made recently, and a couple of other related threads, on smoking, I've come to the conclusion that I shouldn't put myself at risk by starting to smoke tobacco anymore, there are too many downsides despite the good sides and I don't want to jeopardise my health more than it already is.
However, I still like the idea of cigarettes, and enjoyed them when I smoked, and I like to have them available as a stress relief tool. So I looked up some stuff about electronic cigarettes after quite a few people mentioned and recommended them to me in those threads.
I've ordered, for not too much money, a little starter kit for a cigarette which had some good reviews on YouTube, and looks fairly realistic - it's even got one of those red lights on the end (which actually is there to indicate it's being used and it blinks after 5 seconds to indicate that you can't draw anymore nicotine out in the same breath) - and I'm looking forward to using it occasionally and seeing how it might affect my life.
The health risks are tiny for nicotine, the usual cancer you can get from eating bananas or being looked at by a black person, and it's barely any risk for some pleasure and stress relief. I also became barely addicted the last time and gave up smoking easily after a couple of years, so it shouldn't prove to be too addictive to me.
I'll post another news post when it arrives with a little review and stuff.
Here's your kitten.

So recently I asked my fellow sig-makers at the Newgrounds Sig Makers club to make me some sigs, for when I hit post 2000, which is very soon now.
I've compiled the ones that were made for me below, in ascending order of preference - i.e. the last one is my favourite - and will wear them in that order. I will wear each sig for a week and then keep the last one on until I decide I want a new sig, but for at least 2 weeks.
Here's who made me the sigs, in the same order as in the picture below:
Donut
thenewbies
Life-Stream
HighWay
Makeshift
Ninjar
Here's a link to the sigs that were made for me.
And I'll post the same image below, but it may be squashed and the quality is reduced. I recommend you click the link above.
Thanks guys, these are some awesome sigs.
UPDATE: CagedSilhouette also made me a sig, it's awesome and you can find it here.
UPDATE (again): I'm actually only going to wear each sig for two days (as long as I'm fairly active and posting for those 2 days) because I'm lazy. Either Ninjar's or CagedSilhouette's will be my final one. I may keep those two on for a lot longer.

I'm back...

... from my week off, was depositing though. I think I missed a day but I definitely level up tomorrow, thank god. Really not fond of this level and looking forward to the Ryu-style hand of level 10.
Also, I was originally intending, and am revealing this for the first time, to stop posting with the 'blank faic' at 5000 posts. However, I'm starting to get a bit fed up of it and might just stop at 2000, or perhaps do a month or certain number of posts on each emote.
Thoughts on this?
Here's your kitten,

I might not...

...be on for a while, going up to Worcester for a week to stay with the other half.
Just going to be on to do Sig of the Week and maybe do a couple of requests in the NGSM thread. I might even browse General for an hour or two.
Apart from that you're not going to see me much for the next week, and to be honest I think I need the break from Newgrounds, because evidently it's starting to get on my nerves.
Man I wish I had a kitten.
I have decided...

I've decided that Newgrounds really pisses me off.
Don't worry, I'm not trying to get attention or anything and I'm not leaving. I'm just sick of all the trolls. I don't even mind the clueless 12 year old users because that's not their fault and even the idiots who are older and should know better because I can just do my best to help them.
However, the sociopathic, socially inept users on this site that make threads and post replies purely to anger people, and boast ignorance through their opinionated stances on current affairs and the like. These people really piss me off.
I just don't get it, why do you come on to a site like Newgrounds and invest time into the forums just to piss people off? Can you not be a nice person? Can you not have a discussion without hurling abuse and refusing to consider other people's ideas and opinions?
I'm not naming names here but there are some people on this site that need to sort their fucking lives out and try and be nice for once, perhaps even contribute some worthy threads or posts to the site.
Have a fucking ironic kitten.
